Why is the story of Adam and Eve important?
Adam and Eve, according to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, were the first man and woman. They are central to the belief that humanity is in essence a single family, with everyone descended from a single pair of original ancestors.

Hadith says that once Prophet Adam was on earth, God taught him how to plant seeds and bake bread. This was to become the way of all of Adam’s children, Prophet Adam proceeded to live for about 1000 years. Prophet Adam is believed to have been the first human being and (Prophet) on Earth, in Islam.
This Story of Adam (AS) shows us the futility of arrogance. We must always be humble, no matter the circumstances we face. If we commit mistakes and sin, as we always will, we must turn to Allah in sincere repentance for our deeds. Additionally, we should always be aware of Satan’s plan. He makes us sin by making sins appear very small until we fall into major sin. Hence, we should try to avoid all forms of sinning.

This modern view of many theologians that Adam is a myth ultimately has nothing to do with the ambiguity of Scripture because the Bible clearly views Adam as a historical figure. Instead, it is driven by a desire to syncretize evolutionary thinking with the Bible.
Christianity essentially is antithetical to naturalism. Since the rise of Darwinian evolution in the nineteenth century it has become the custom to reinterpret the biblical account of creation in light of modern scientific theory.
Instead of calling into question the “sure results of science” it is the Bible that is often rewritten to say something it clearly doesn’t mean.
