The Quran is Allah’s Holy Book that He revealed to Prophet Muhammad (S) through Angel Jibril.

Thirdly, Recite the ayah 5 times from memory. Fourthly, move on to the next ayah and follow the same steps outlined above.

Surah al-Fatiha

This Surah contains a powerful dua in which believers ask Allah to guide them to the straight path. The complete surah contains many powerful meanings that Muslims should also try to understand, to increase their faith.
Ayat al-Kursi
This is a verse or ayat of the Quran. It is the 255th verse of Surah al-Baqarah. This verse about the throne or footstool of Allah shows His greatness and magnificence. Memorizing this verse is vital because Muslims should recite it after the daily prayers regularly, according to the sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH).
Surah al-Kafiroon
This is the 111th surah of the Quran. It contains a powerful message about Muslims in relation to non-Muslims. In it, we say to the disbelievers that their religion is for them while our religion, which is Islam, is for us.
Surah al-Ikhlaas
This is a very important Surah of the Quran. It is the 112th surah and the first of the three Quls. It contains a complete overview of the oneness of Allah and how He is independent of His creation. He has no offspring, and He relies on no one. The surah explains how Allah is entirely self-sufficient, and He is the Sole Creator.
Surah al-Falaq
This is the 113th surah of the Quran and the second of the three Quls. In this Surah, we ask Allah for refuge from all kinds of evils. The evil of creation, darkness, magic, and the evil eye are all mentioned.
Surah an-Nas
This is the last of the three Quls and the 114th surah of the Quran. In this surah, we also seek refuge in Allah, the Lord of all mankind, from the accursed Satan (Shaytaan) and his evil whispers.
The three Quls are to be recited once after the daily prayers, thrice after Maghrib and Fajr, and also before sleeping.
What Surah to learn first?
A Muslim should learn Surah Al-Rehman as the first Surah because a single Ayat is repeated so many times. Therefore, it is easy to learn. Similarly, Surah Mulk and Surah Yaseen must be recited on a daily basis because they save man from any upcoming mishap in his life. However, our beloved Prophet used to recite Surah Qaaf because of it.
Understanding What You Recite
Benefit from the Surahs that you memorize and recite during prayers, you should have at least some knowledge of what you are reciting.
